I wrote my way through separation – almost divorce – back to reconciliation combining this process with daily journalling. It is profound and it works. Love your blog. Glad I stumbled on it!

There's a huge difference between information and formation too. I've been actively decreasing the former by reducing my rss feeds and increasing the later by writing even more in my journals.

Thinking physiologically: Recently my dietitian reminded me that drinking lots of fluids daily, especially water, is THE essential preventative medication in mitigating further gallstone and pancreatic attacks. We all know what happens when you drink a lot of water - to be gentile about it we might say, the system flushes itself out.

Daily journal writing flushes out the system too.

I was just looking for journal prompts and came across your website. I have been keeping journals for my 2 sons since they were in my tummy. They are 9 and 7 now and I write to them almost every day. It was nice to read that someone else thinks it would be a very special gift some day. I love it. Thank you.

I always write with a fountain pen when I write in my journal. I started doing that 25 years ago and it just feels good.

And my journals have unlined paper -- I don't want lines to determine how big or small my writing will be.

This is a simple and brilliant idea. I often find I am not sure if I want to keep something - what if someone were to read it and nut understand the context or whatever. And, often, I delete. Now, what I have been doing should I go back and decide I want to delete it is to cut and past to a work processeing document, then secure it beyond what almost anyone can get into and go back a week or more later and decide. So far, I always put the entry back in, for my story is in complete without the entry. Your idea is just so much more simple. And, in reality, I don't need the security, it makes the entry seem more integral to my story than it really is - when taken in context. Thank you for the great idea.
